This is the 32nd edition of the Brazilian Congress on Applications of Vacuum in Industry and Science. The purpose of this congress is to support the interaction of researchers, students, and technicians who utilize vacuum technology as an important tool in solving different problems in Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Engineering, and Materials Science.

The congress will be held at the Itajuba Federal University, "Prof. José Rodrigues Seabra" campus, State of Minas Gerais, in August 28-31, 2011. Some short courses will be offered in August 27.
